Regarding the Legislative branch, Chaves highlighted the urgency of promoting reforms that allow for greater efficiency and agility in decision-making. He emphasized the importance of working together to achieve a more agile and effective system that responds adequately to the needs and demands of the citizenry.
Amid his criticisms, President Chaves also called for unity and collaboration among the different branches of government to achieve meaningful change in the institutional system of Costa Rica. He highlighted the importance of building consensus and seeking solutions that benefit all citizens of the country.
"It is essential that we work together to build a stronger and more efficient institutional system that promotes the development and well-being of all Costa Ricans," Chaves stated in his speech before Congress.
